Still Looking For A Mate?
Most people think of dating as something one does as a teenager and perhaps in one’s twenties. Not so these days. Lots of people date when in their thirties, having delayed creating a family in order to have a career, and actually there are plenty of people on the dating scene in their forties or fifties or older. These days it isn’t unheard of for people to get married when in their eighties or nineties! No reason to live life alone because of divorce or death of a spouse.
Most of the time, catching a mate begins with looking attractive. We’d all like to look like movie stars, many of whom still look fantastic in their 60′s and beyond. Movie stars seem to have limitless budgets and time to spend in pursuit of youthful appearance, whereas the rest of us have to work.
There are many things you can do to improve your appearance without having the resources of a movie star. Exercise and some elementary hygiene of course improve personal appearance and cost very little.
A healthy and sensible diet will improve one’s appearance and also improve mood and vitality. Subsisting on beer and pizza makes one look old quickly. You don’t have to implement a strange or complicated diet – just eat sensibly.
Skin wrinkling, added weight, loss of sex drive and loss of hair are a few of the effects that appear with age. What exactly causes the body to change, and what can be done about it? Glands of the endocrine system gradually slow down production of hormones as the body starts to age. Hormones control systems of the body and when they are thrown out of balance, unwanted effects occur. Usually this begins about age 30 but sometimes it can occur at a younger age.
Hormones are responsible for keeping the body functioning. When the endocrine systems begins to produce insufficient quantities, symptoms of age begin to appear. This phenomenon occurs gradually – fewer hormones, then more symptoms of age.
A competent doctor trained in alternative medicine can handle a great deal of these symptoms for you by replacing the lacking hormones with bio-identical hormones. (Bio-identical means the hormones used for replacement are exactly like the hormones the body produces.) This sort of procedure has been available and thoroughly tested in Europe for many years, but in the US it has been reduced by many MD’s to only replacing libido hormones – testosterone, progesterone or estrogen – with synthetic hormones.
That’s not good enough. A good doctor will do laboratory tests to determine all of the hormones that need replacement and in what amount. And such a doctor will prescribe a gradually increasing amount of all the hormones necessary to slow, stop or in some cases even reverse aging. You can enjoy a more youthful body – and regain a brighter outlook about finding a new mate!
